Increased frequency of service 585/587 (Newquay-Perranporth-Truro) from 3rd January 2006! Due to the withdrawal of service 87 by First Devon & Cornwall, Western Greyhound increased the frequency of service 585/7 from 3rd January 2006. To view the new timetable, click here
New service 527 (St Austell-Boscoppa-Eden) started on 3rd January 2006! Western Greyhound introduced a new service between St Austell and Eden via Boscoppa to replace service X7 which was withdrawn by First Devon & Cornwall. New timetables from 25th September 2005
Western Greyhound started its new winter timetables on Sunday 25th September 2005. Summer timetables will start on Sunday 9th April 2006.
Great news for travellers
Many services have been increased in frequency. With the difficulty of parking in places like Truro, Treliske Hospital, Newquay and Plymouth, it makes sense to use the bus!
Looe to Liskeard branch line
We have introduced the Looe Valley Ranger ticket at £3.50 adult or £7 family of up to five people (no more than two adults).You can buy this on any 573 bus or Wessex train between Liskeard and Looe and use it on both buses or trains for the whole day. A great way to spend a day out in the Looe Valley! It is available any time, any day, and can even be used as far as Polperro on Sundays! For the 573 timetable, click here. Great news for Concessionary Key Card holders!
You are able to use your card at any time on Western Greyhound buses! No more waiting until after 0845. Not only that, but the price of Concessionary Day Rover tickets has been reduced to just £2.50! With the expanded Western Greyhound network, this has to be the bargain of the century. Just get on any Western Greyhound bus, show your card, ask the driver for a Concessionary Day Rover, hand over your £2.50 and you have complete freedom of our network.
And even better news for Concessionary Key Card holders!
From 1st April 2006, you will be able to travel free on all Western Greyhound buses!
Newquay Manor Road Bus Station
Western Greyhound buses now use the new bus station in Manor Road and no longer stop at the “old” bus station in East Street. Buses also stop at the new stop outside the Post Office in East Street. Stand numbers have now been allocated at the bus station for each service to make it easier to find your way around and these are shown in each timetable.
The new Travelshop is now open at the Manor Road Bus Station where you can obtain travel information, book coach tours and private hire and also book your National Express tickets. Opening hours are 0745 to 1815 on Mondays to Fridays and 0745 to 1545 on Saturdays. The office is also open on summer bank holidays and most peak summer Sundays
Use Western Greyhound tickets on other buses!
Return tickets issued on Western Greyhound buses are now accepted by First, Truronian, Hopleys and Summercourt Travel buses for the return journey on the section of route between Threemilestone, Treliske Hospital and Truro City Centre. Western Greyhound will also accept tickets issued by these other operators. So, don’t get a single ticket, buy a return and start making great savings!
National Express bookings and enquiries Western Greyhound is now the local agent for National Express bookings and enquiries at the new Manor Road Bus Station.
