Fares & Tickets
We are a low-cost bus company and always keep our fares in check to make sure we’re giving you the best possible value.
We do not currently maintain a comprehensive list of fares on our web site, but details of the various tickets available to you are outlined below. For information about the cost of a specific journey or ticket (except Season Tickets) please don't hesitate to get in touch with the Passenger Information Team and they will do their best to help:
call us: 01637 871 871
Mondays to Saturdays - 0700 to 1900 | Sundays - 0930 to 1730

visit us: Newquay Bus Station Travel Shop, Manor Road, Newquay
Mondays to Saturdays - 0700 to 1900 | Sundays - 0930 to 1730
For information about season tickets, please email ticketing@westerngreyhound.com and give details of the journey you want to make and the desired duration of the ticket.
With the exception of season tickets, you can buy all our tickets from the driver when you get on the bus. If you can pay the correct fare, that is always helpful, but do not worry if you are not able, or do not know the fare as the driver will usually have change to help you.
Please tell the driver your destination clearly, whether you want a single or return ticket, and if you are a child or an adult. We regret that incorrectly requested tickets cannot be refunded by the driver. We respectfully remind younger passengers that the onus of proof that you are entitled to a childs fare is on you and not the driver.
We have a selection of tickets:
Our great value Day Explorer ticket gives you unlimited travel on our entire bus network and you can also use it on Stagecoach Devon buses. Go where you like, when you like, change buses as often as you like - buy it anytime from the driver! To view the map of where we run, click here.
£8.50 Adult, £5.50 Child or £17 Family
(up to 5 people but no more than 2 adults)
Make fantastic savings with a weekly ticket!
This ticket, which can be bought on the bus, allows you seven days of unlimited travel on services between the two destinations you select. It is perfect for commuting to work as you do not have to worry about carrying cash every day, and can buy the ticket at the beginning of the week.
Weekly tickets are great value too costing only four times the standard return fare you would normally pay. If you're commuting to work, for example, that gives you the fifth work day free, as well as free journeys at the weekend!
Weekly tickets are now available across our entire network, on all routes, between any two destinations where standard or through fares exist.
If you are travelling regularly between two places, you can make huge savings by buying a Season Ticket, which works out even cheaper than a Weekly Ticket.
A season ticket is the only ticket that you cannot buy from the bus driver. For more information, please email: ticketing@westerngreyhound.com for a quotation, letting us know your starting point and destination and the duration you require.
We will require a passport-style photograph.
Seasons can last for 3, 6 or 12 months.
The National Bus Concession Scheme gives all pass holders free off-peak bus travel on our buses. Our online ticketing machines are now 'smart' and read your card automatically. When you board, please state your destination to the driver and place your card on the reader. Once a ticket has been printed, you can remove your pass. Please retain both the ticket and the pass, as you need to be able to show this to all Western Greyhound staff upon request.
Off-peak times are between the hours of 09:30 and 23:00 on Mondays to Fridays, and at any time of the day on weekends and Bank Holidays.
Cornwall Council no longer allow holders of the National Bus Concessionary passes to travel free on the Park and Ride service in Truro.
If you are over 60, or have certain disabilities, get yours now and start travelling totally free.
